A celebration of life for Alice F. Smith, 66 of Washington will be held Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the 1 st Church of God in Brighton, Iowa with Pastor Ryan Meader officiating. Burial will follow at the Sandy Hook Cemetery in rural Brighton. Visitation will be held from 5 – 8 PM Wednesday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington. A general memorial fund has been established. Alice F. Smith died Sunday, July 21 at the Univeristy of Iowa Hospital.

Alice Faye (Farrier) Smith was born July 14, 1947 in Brighton, Iowa the daughter of Clarence L. and Melba (Ingle) Farrier, Sr. She was united in marriage to Earl Warth, Sr. In 1966. Earl died in a farm accident in 1968. Alice married Jerry O. Smith in 1988 and the couple later divorced, but have remained life partners. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and cooking big dinners.

Survivors include her partner; Jerry O. Smith of Washington, four children; Earl C. Warth, Jr of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, Sharon Warth of Ft. Madison, Iowa, Tommy Crawford of Crawfordsville, Iowa, and Angie Wallis (Larry Pearson) of North Liberty, Iowa, seven grandchildren; Jerry Joe, Stausha, Ricky, Kody, Claudia, Tempest and Kanon, three step grandchildren; Larissa, Sephera and R. J. and one great grandson; Richard Gauge Farely, two brothers; Clarence (Myra) Farrier, Jr. of Crawfordsville, Iowa, and Andy (Kathy) Farrier of Wayland, Iowa, one sister; Sally Rarick of Ainsworth, Iowa.

Preceding Alice in death were her parents, one sister; Janie Bailey, one brother; Donnie Farrier, Sr, and her first husband; Earl Warth, Sr.
