A celebration of life for Amy C. Richardson, 35 of Des Moines, formerly of Washington, will be held Monday, September 17, 2012 at 2:00PM at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington. Visitation will be held Monday from 10 AM until service time at the funeral home. The body has been cremated. A memorial fund has been established for the family.
Amy Christine Richardson was born May 20, 1977 in Iowa City, Iowa the daughter of Duane and Evie (Lillie) Richardson. She graduated from Washington High School. She became a registered nurse in 2010 and was employed at the Fleur Heights Center for Wellness and Rehab in Des Moines for the past four years. Amy was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and enjoyed Native American art and folklore. She loved being outdoors, her pets and spending time with her children and family.
Survivors include her significant other, Mike Trogdon of Des Moines, Iowa, three children, Zac, Zander and Braxton and three step children, Dakota, Devin and Hunter, her mother, Evie Richardson of Washington, Iowa, father, Duane Richardson of Hedrick, Iowa, one brother, Kevin Richardson of Iowa City, two nephews, Jaedin and Phoenix, paternal grandmother, Peggy Hagans of Brighton, Iowa and maternal grandmother, Ruth Lillie of Washington, Iowa.
