My sincere sympathies. I am sorry to be out of the state and unable to attend Boone's services. I remember him with great fondness. His passing is a sorrowful event. My heart goes out to all of you. Linda, you will be in my thoughts in the coming days.

To the family of Dennis Novy: I just learned of the passing of your dear loved one, Boone. I had the pleasure of knowing Boone throughout my school days at Riverside and Highland. We graduated together in 1966. Boone was so enjoyable; he kept us all laughing. He was a bright student and I was not surprised when he became a success at his job at Pearsons. I regret being out of the state and not able to attend his services. Please know my heart is there with all of you. I am greatly saddened by his passing. Sincerely, Patty Flynn Thomann

Boone was the best neighbor we could ever ask for. I have been blessed to have known Boone for more than half my life. He was hilarious, kind-hearted, generous, a great teacher and mentor, and a positive role-model. I will never forget the relief he gave me while watching over Mom and me. Beyond that, I will never forget Boone. Keep Mom in line up there. Love, Allie

I started working at the forerunner of Pearson a few months after Boone so our paths crossed many times over the 39 years I had an opportunity to know him. Interactions with Boone were always fun and often included mental gymnastics to keep up with his acronyms and definitions! As I reflect on those discussions I realize he was always a great person to have on your side because he was very passionate about his work and his concerns, a "gentle" pit bull in directing and supporting the right course of action. He left way too soon and will be greatly missed, but remembered often in the legacy of stories he gave us as a gift.

I am so sad to learn that Boone left us. He was my mentor and best friend since I started my computing career (1979)with Westinghouse Learning Co,..then Pearson. He is wonderful, very very fun, and caring person I love to have in my life; he always like to make people laugh and exciting what ever he said. I am sorry that I did not have chance again to eat chinese food and hear his fun stories. Boone, we all miss you but still enjoy your eternal laugh from Heaven.

I only learned this afternoon of Boone's passing. My heartfelt condolences go out to all family & friends. I had the pleasure of running into Boone & Lani a few times after all the years they have been away from Conesville, but Boone always made you feel like it was just yesterday you were neighbors. A true & caring friend. Years ago I was out washing my car, getting ready for my wedding later that evening..Up pulls a car & Boone jumps out with a present & says with a very very serious look on his face" Here young man, I'll deliver this now. I just get too emotional at weddings."I should have known, but I asked, "Really Boone, why?His reply" I just hang my head & cryAnother good man taken from safety of bachelorhood!"..Then with that infectious smile & that great laugh, he patted me on the back & laughed all the way back to his car Boone, We are all better people for having known you! God Bless you.

I had the honor of meeting Boone last year. He has been a friend of my dad's, Ron Dautremont, since they were kids in Riverside. Often the stories of my dad's fun-loving youth would include Boone so I feel as though I've known him for much longer. Boone was a great comfort to my family when we lost my dad's brother, Larry. Boone took the time and care to create a memorial photo of Larry to display at the American Legion Post in Riverside and one for Lone Tree as well. This gesture means more than our words could have ever expressed. Boone will always have a warm spot in my heart as a friend and recently discovered, as family. My thoughts are with your family. I know that Boone will be greeted with open arms in heaven and that his hearty laugh will bring joy to all he will meet.
