A celebration of life for Dianne R. Bowser, 74 of West Chester will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the West Chester United Methodist Church with Pastor's Marlene Janssen and Michael McAfee officiating. Burial will follow at the West Chester Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 22 from noon until 7 PM at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, where the family will greet friends from 4 -7 PM. The body has been cremated. A memorial fund has been established for the West Chester 1st Responders, Maplewood Manor and Hospice. Dianne Bowser died Friday, January 18, 2013 at Maplewood Manor in Keota.

Dianne Rae (Schlatter) Bowser was born April 18, 1938 in Wayland, Iowa the daughter of Millard H. And Leola Lee (Christner) Schlatter. She graduated from Wayland High School and was united in marriage to Ronald Bowser in West Chester on January 13, 1958. Dianne was a Certified Nurse Assistant and worked at many nursing homes and at the Washington County Hospital for 11 years. She was a member of the West Chester United Methodist Church where she was active in the United Methodist Women and Discover Life, she was also a member of the Wayland Order of Eastern Star and a founding member of the West Chester 1st Responders. Dianne enjoyed playing cards, visiting with people and she never knew a stranger. She was passionate about caring for people and was devoted to establishing and supporting the West Chester 1st Repsonders, and was active in the Washington County Emergency Medical Services Association. Dianne loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband Ronald of West Chester, three daughters and spouses all of Keota; Cindy (John) Snedigar, Rhonda (Steve) Hahn, Teri (Gary) Carl, eight grandchildren, Samantha (Russell) Allen, Zane (Heather) Snedigar, Lucas Snedigar, Brent (Bridget) Bowser, Brooke (Joe) Collins, Christopher (Andrea) Hahn, Michael (Teigha) Carl, six great grandchildren and one brother, Dick (Mary) Schlatter of Kalona.

Preceding Dianne in death were her parents, one son, Tony Bowser and one sister, Shirley Ann Schlatter.
