She was my aunt: Aunt Reenee. That's how I always addressed her, and I loved her dearly, and I always will, and I miss her now; she was my favorite!Reading her obituary, it mentioned she baked pies. Indeed. She started baking for local restaurants on Kathy's, (my cousin, her daughter,) 1st birthday, 1950. She baked pies for more than 60 years, and my conservative estimate is more than 80,000 pies! Maybe more than 90,000.My Aunt Irene was a very kind, wonderful, thoughtful, gracious person, and I will always remember her.I love you Aunt Reenee!Doug

Andrea, I am so sorry about the passing of your Grandma. I remember when "Rene" use to babysit me when I was little. She was the one who introduced me to putting ketchup on my ham in order to get me to eat it. I still do that to this day and my husband laughs every time he sees me do it. I have many fond memories of her. Prayers and condolences to you and your family during this time.

I worked with Irene in the 70's at the hospital for a few years. What a great leader she was in many arears. She always had such a kind heart, smile and warm hugs. She and I would share stories of the children we kept and and our faith in God. There certainly isn't enough words to discri8be this beautiful hard working lady. May she rest peacefully as she entered through those pearly gates of heaven. I know Joe has been waiting for his love!

I worked in the County Hospital kitchen with Irene back in the early 70's. She was a joy. Irene was always so kind to me. I'm sure her family will miss her. I pray God's blessings on you all, with the comfort and peace that come only from him. May he grant you many good memories of Irene.
