May you find peace and comfort knowing that your Mother has been released from all pain and suffering and enjoying the reunion with Harlan. Your Mom and Dad were like brother and sister to me and I cherish many memories of all the good times we had together. May God give you strength at t his time when you can rejoice and grieve simultaneously

Shirley, Please accept my condolences on the passing of your sister,Delores. When I met her for the first time she was with Joretta at East Union Mennonite Church Young People's Institute (Summer 1948 ) I was a friend of Harlan's and was with him. Harlan and Joretta were dating at the time. This was shortly before I left for school in Virginia. My wife was from Virginia and I have called Virginia home for 70 years,We have maintained our friendship over the years and have spent time together when possible. Quite a few in Florida where we also spent wintertime. I did meet Delores several times later in life when we happened to be in Florida at the same time.

You have our sympathy for the loss of your mother. Steve drove a truck for your parents back in the '60s. Your mother made the best cinnamon rolls. Joretta was a very good friend of my sister, Delores Troyer Rupp when they were younger. It is very interesting that Delores passed away just 2 days before Joretta. Now they are singing together in heaven.
