Margene L. Erlenbush, 66 of Ainsworth, died Thursday, December 31, 2015 at her home in Ainsworth, following a long illness.
A memorial service will be 11:00 AM Monday, January 4, 2016 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Bob Spilger officiating. Burial of the cremains will follow at the Oregon Township Cemetery in Ainsworth. Visitation will be from 2-5:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers a general memorial has been established.
Margene L. (Davison) Erlenbush was born October 21, 1949 in Washington, IA, the daughter of Everett W. and Marjorie (Sheetz) Davison. She graduated from WACO High School in 1968. On March 4, 1972 she was united in marriage to John Erlenbush at the Wayland Methodist Church. She was a member of the Ainsworth Community Church and the Sacha Club of Ainsworth. Margene worked as a clerk at J.C. Penney, Ainsworth Farmers Co-op and later at Walmart for over 20 years. She enjoyed flower gardening, reading books, crocheting and attending her granddaughter's sporting events.
Survivors include her husband John of Ainsworth, one daughter Christi (Josh) Sands of Columbus Jct., two granddaughters: Jenna and Haley Sands, one sister Cheryl Dahlquist of Keota, IA, and one brother David Davison of Brashear, MO.
Preceding Margene in death were her parents and an infant brother, Dennis Davison.
