Marie Redlinger

Marie E. (Bombei) Redlinger, 99, of Washington, died Friday, March 27, 2020 at the Washington County Hospital. She has been cremated and the cremains will be buried at the St. Peter & Paul Cemetery in rural Keota at a later date. Marie E. Redlinger was born January 18, 1921 in Talleyrand, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Theresa (Ott) Bombei. She was united in marriage to Daryl Redlinger on August 17, 1946. Marie enjoyed dancing and playing cards. Survivors include two daughters: Diane Allison and Kay Redlinger, both of Washington, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mary Lou Walker of rural Washington County. Preceding Marie in death was her husband, three sons: Dean, Phil and Randy Redlinger, four brothers: Raymond, Richard, Howard and Herbert Bombei, one sister Philemona Sheetz and two infant siblings.

Sorry for your loss. Will fondly remember times she would call for furnace work and to reset her thermostat. Had many good conversations with her.

Marie and my mother (Ruth Trier) were bingo buddies for a lot of years. Mom and Mariehad a lot of fun times together. Mom did not drive and Marie and another friend always we so kind to take her along on their ventures. Blessings to your family. Sharon Trier Niffenegger

I am so sorry to hear of Maries passing. I spent a lot of time at Maries home when I was growing. Diane & Kay were best friends. So many laughs with the Redlinger family. My prayers for the family.
