Richard Arbogast

Richard T. Arbogast, 68 of Wayland, died Sunday, March 8, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Per his request his body has been cremated and no services are planned. Beatty Funeral home is assisting with arrangements.

Richard was born August 20, 1946 near Wayland, Iowa the son of John Thomas and Ada Viola (Turner) Arbogast.

He graduated from WACO High School in 1964. He was employed with Montgomery Wards, Blue Bird for over 30 year and most recently at Wal-Mart. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid bowler.

Survivors include siblings, Elizabeth Troutman of Wayland, Mildred Wilson (Bill) of Ainsworth, Dorothy Jacob of Wellman, Charles Arbogast (Ruth) of Washington,  Johnie Arbogast of Brighton, Dean Arbogast of Wayland, Ed Arbogast of Wayland, Stanley Arbogast (Shelly) of Washington and sister in law Fonda Arbogast of Mt. Pleasant.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Howard and an infant baby sister.

Deepest sympathy to Richard's family.John worked with him at Blue Bird.We have sure missed visiting with him at Walmart on our late night shopping trips.What a great guy who will be remembered, fondly.

I am sorry for your loss - siblings are a real treasure! Prayers, thoughts, memoriesof family visiting on Wednesday and / or Saturday evenings in Wayland long ago.They valued their families above any material thing . . . we were their treasure.We were so blessed to be so loved.Peace with19 you all!Hold those very special family memories in your hearts always.
