A Mass of Christian Burial for Ruth H. Lampe, 94 of Washington, will be held Friday, January 25, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Riverside, Iowa with Father David Brownfield officiating. Burial will follow at the Wellman Public Cemetery. Vistation will be held Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 4 a�" 6:30 PM at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona, where a Rosary will be said at 6:30 PM. A memorial fund has been established for St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wellman and Halycon House. Ruth H. Lampe died Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Halycon House in Washington. Ruth Helen Lampe was born August 11, 1918 in Charleston, Iowa the daughter of Fred and Mary (Lake) Kramer. She was united in marriage to Ernest Lampe on January 20, 1942 at St Mary's Catholic Church in West Point, Iowa. Ruth was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wellman and the Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed playing golf, raising her family, being outside on the farm with Ernie and crotcheting and quilting. Survivors include nine children and spouses; Arthur (Kathleen) Lampe of Denver, CO, Mary (Daniel) Reed of South English, IA, Dorothy (Gary) Davis of Washington, IA, Paul Lampe of Mt. Pleasant, IA, Darlene (Randy) Payne of Washington, Dale Lampe of Keota, IA, Fred (Teresa) Lampe of Wellman, IA, Donald (Lorrie) Lampe of Muscatine, IA, Dennis (Ann) Lampe of Riverside, IA, 34 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and two sisters, Sally Rippenkroeger of Ft. Madison, IA and Rosemary Boyer of Franklin, IA. Preceding Ruth was her husband, Ernest, an infant son and daughter, one grandson, a daugther in law; Paula Lampe, three brothers; Alfred, Leonard and Maurice Kramer and three sisters; LaVern Kramer, Bertha Kaltefleiter and Martha Fraise.
