Adam J. Miramontes, 26, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, in Iowa City. A funeral service will be held Friday, March 27, 2026, at 11:30 AM at the Kalona United Methodist Church in Kalona. The service will be available via Livestream at the Beatty Peterseim Facebook and YouTube pages. Visitation will be held Friday, March 27, 2026, at the church from 10 AM until 11:15 AM. Adam James Miramontes was born on January 18, 2000, in Bakersfield, CA, the son of Arturo Miramontes and Amanda Rodriguez. He graduated from Mid-Prairie High School in 2018. Adam was a member of the Kalona United Methodist Church and enjoyed writing, reading, singing, especially Karaoke, and spending time with his family. He loved to be with his younger brothers and would spend many hours playing video games with Everett. Adam also loved the town of Kalona, and often you could find him reading a book or a poem on a bench downtown. He also frequented the Kalona Coffee Shop.

Survivors include his father Arturo Miramontes in Bakersfield, CA, his mother and stepfather Amanda and Tyrell Gingerich of Kalona, his brothers Jaxson and Everett Gingerich of Kalona, his maternal grandmother Sandra Lopez of Bakersfield, paternal grandmother Darlene Gingerich of Kalona, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceding Adam in death is maternal grandfather David Rodriguez, paternal grandfather Ron Gingerich, and maternal great-grandparents: David and Alvina Rodriguez, Sr. and Ramona Lopez.
