Angel Denise Johnson

Angel Denise Johnson, 51 of Washington, died Monday, July 7, 2025, at the Washington Co. Hospital.

Her body has been cremated, and a Celebration of her life will be at a later date. The Beatty-Peterseim Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Angel was born April 11, 1974, in Ft. Madison, IA, the daughter of Jackson Conrad and Anne (Goeke) Polhans. She was united in marriage to Jerry Leon Johnson, June 21, 2006, in Washington, Iowa.

She was employed with Walmart and at a nursing home for a short time. She enjoyed her mustang, car shows, bingo, tattoos, fishing, and being with her family and grandchildren. She was also past president of the Corn County Cruisers car club.

Survivors include her husband Jerry of Washington, children, Jacob Denny of Cedar Rapids, Travis Peterson of Washington, Alicia Lloyd of West Branch and Cody Miller of Washington; brother Gary Real of Des Moines; grandchildren, Ethan, Daniel, Shania, Kathy, Eli and Andrea.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Jackson Polhans Jr.
