Aritha Bibee

Aritha D. “Rita” Bibee died Saturday, September 7, 2019, at the Washington County Hospital. No services will be held. Per the family’s request, donations in Rita’s memory may be directed to the Beatty Funeral Home to help with her final expenses.

Aritha Dell (Brown) Bibee was born February 10, 1945, in Tyner, Indiana. She was adopted by Pat and Fern (Kelly) Brown. Rita attended Aledo High School in Illinois. On April 12, 1985 she was united in marriage to James Bibee in Iowa City. Rita was a homemaker and member of the Jehovah’s Witness Church. She enjoyed collecting all kinds of things, usually found at yard sales which she loved. Rita also enjoyed crafts and her pets were very important to her.

Survivors include five children: Karen (Robert) Albert of Monmouth, IL, Patricia Thompson of Aledo, IL, Kristina (Leon) Risenhoover of Oklahoma, Jason (Angie) McKinley of Decatur, AL, and Lisa McKinley Engle of Aledo, IL, seven grandchildren: Robert, Stephen, Kayla, Christopher, Alexandra, Austin, and Roxanne and one great grandchild.

Preceding Rita in death were her parents, one brother Gordon Brown and her husband James Bibee.
