Barbara Green, 85, of Kalona, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at the Pleasantview Home in Kalona, Iowa. Barbara chose cremation for her funeral plans. Burial will take place in LaPlata, Missouri at a later date. The Beatty Peterseim Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Barbara F. (Campbell) Green was born February 1, 1941, in LaPlata, Missouri, the daughter of Alven Taylor and Helen (Knapp) Campbell. She graduated from Kirksville Senior High School and went on to take business classes. She was united in marriage to Dean Selby Green in Kirksville, Missouri. The couple lived in Kirksville most of their married life. After Dean’s death, Barbara moved to Kalona. Barbara enjoyed sewing and reading and was a member of the TOPS group in Kirksville.

Survivors include two children: Thomas Dean (Kimberly) Green of Bloomfield, Iowa, Susan Helen (Russell) Mayer of Kalona, Iowa, and one grandson, Jonathan Dean Mayer of Kalona, Iowa.

Preceding Barbara in death were her parents, her husband, Dean, and one brother, Alven Wayne Campbell.
