A celebration of life for Barbara Ann Morgan 65, of Kalona will be held Monday, July 9, 2012 at 10:30AM at the Kalona United Methodist Church with Pastor Gerry Kahler officiating.  Burial will follow at the Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona.  Visitation will be held Sunday, July 8, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona.  A memorial fund has been established for the Kalona United Methodist Church, Pleasantview Home and Kalona 1 st Responder's.  Barbara Morgan died suddenly, Thursday, July 5 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

Barbara Ann (Henrich) Morgan was born October 3, 1946 in Carroll, Iowa the daughter of Howard and Margaret (Bauer) Henrich.  She graduated from St. Martins Catholic School in Oderbolt, Iowa and went on to complete her nurse's training at Carroll, Iowa.  She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked most recently at the Pleasantview Home in Kalona.  On February 10, 1975 she was united in marriage to Douglas W. Morgan at the 1 st Baptist Church in Ft. Dodge, Iowa.  Barb was a member of the Kalona United Methodist Church, where she was active in the United Methodist Women's group; she was a member of the Optimist Club of Kalona and the Mid-Prairie Council of Churches.  She enjoyed fishing, and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Makynna.

Survivors include her son Matt Morgan of West Chester, Iowa, granddaughter, Makynna Morgan, three brothers, Ed (Ruth) Henrich of Osceola, IA, Don (Helen) Henrich of Merrill, IA, Duane (Ellen) Henrich of  IL, three sisters, Jane Dimig of LeMars, IA, Betty (Don) Cox of West Des Moines, IA, Delores (Karl) Hering of Omaha, NE, a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and a sisters in law, Ann Morgan of  Eaton, OH and Mary Jo Macko, Greenville, SC.

Preceding Barb in death were her parents, her husband Doug on May 10, 2012,
