Carla Brunk

Carla Marie Brunk, 65, of Washington, died Thursday, February 27, 2020 at the Halcyon House. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM Monday, March 2, 2020 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington. Visitation will be held from 12:00-4:00 PM with the family present from 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday, March 1, 2020. Burial will be at the West Chester Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for the West Chester Heritage.

Carla Brunk was born January 16, 1955 in Iowa City, IA the daughter of Marvin and Mary (Miller) Yoder. She graduated from Mid Prairie High School in 1973.  Carla was united into marriage to Phillip Brunk on July 20, 1974 at the Washington Methodist church. Carla loved to cause a ruckus with the other residents at Halcyon House. She enjoyed traveling in the semi with her husband Phil, singing, cross stitching, antiquing, and her favorite drink Diet Coke.

Carla is survived by her children; Ryan (Melissa) Brunk of Wellman, Betsy (Tim) Timmins of Washington, IA, siblings; Richard (Lorna) Yoder of Boulder, CO, Ron (Deb) Yoder of Casper, WY, Carmen (Chris) Woods of Washington, IA, grandchildren; Morgan Brunk, Ella Brunk, Emma Timmins, Tinley Timmins, and many nieces and nephews.

Carla was preceded in death by her parents and husband Phillip in 2005.
