Christine “Chris” Ann Gehl, 70 of Iowa City, died Monday, August, 8, 2016 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. A celebration of her life will take place on Thursday at 5:30 at her home, 1229 Shannon Dr, Iowa City. Memorials may be designated to Goodwill. Peterseim Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Chris was born January 5, 1946 in Crookston, MN the daughter of Harry and Donna Lee (Kennedy) Gehl. After moving to Iowa City she was employed at Bill’s Coffee Shop for 20 years. Survivors include two sons, Scott Brager of Visalia, CA and Chad Brager and wife Angie of Phoenix, AZ; brother Dan Fisher and wife Debi of Denver, CO, sister Heidi Kepley and husband Ross of Waynesville, NC and a sister-in-law Georgia Fisher of Helena, MT; one granddaughter Sydney Brager and four nieces and nephews. Chris was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bill and beloved cat Callie. A special thank-you to Amy Holcomb and all of the people who have supported Chris throughout her life.
