Evelyn Jean Garrett, 96, of Washington, formerly of Wayland, died Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Halcyon House in Washington. A casual graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Finley Cemetery south of Wayland with Pastor Michael Swartzendruber officiating. The graveside will be livestreamed on the Beatty-Peterseim Funeral Home Facebook page and YouTube channel. Open visitation will be from noon to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Beatty Funeral Home in Washington. The family request no flowers, but memorials in Evelyn’s name may be designated to Finley Cemetery or the Wayland Mennonite Church. |
