Evelyn Vinton

Evelyn P. Vinton, 85 of Wayland, formally of Coppock, died Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Parkview Home in Wayland.

Graveside Services have been set for 10:30AM Friday, May 24, 2013 at the Elm Grove Cemetery with Pastor Betsey Neipert officiating. A memorial fund has been established for the Parkview Home in Wayland.

Beatty Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Evelyn was born December 30, 1927 in Coppock, IA the daughter of Gleede and Helen (McCarty) Dold. She graduated from Wayland High School and was united in marriage to Charles Gene Vinton on May 15, 1965 in Letts, Iowa. She was a lifelong resident of Coppock and taught music lessons at the Everett Music Store in Washington. She taught piano, accordian, organ and guitar. Evelyn was a member of the Cottonwood United Methodist Church and enjoyed music, cats, quilting, gardening and being active at church.

Survivors are one brother-in-law Rex Sin and sister-in-law Corrine of Wayland Iowa.

Preceding Evelyn in death were her parents and her husband Charles.
