Gerald (Jerry) Benjamin, 76, of Washington died Friday, January 8, 2016, at the McCreedy Home in Washington.
His body has been cremated.
A memorial service will be Monday, January 18 at 6:00 pm at the Beatty Funeral Home, Washington.
A visitation will be held Monday, January 18 starting at 5:00 pm and continuing until time of memorial service at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington.
He was born November 22.1030 in Onawa, Iowa, the son of John and Bernie Benjamin.
Jerry was a trucker during his working years. He enjoyed golfing and fishing and belonged to the Corn County Cruisers of Washington.
Gerald is survived by his special friend, Sandra Ayers of Washington, two daughters, Debra (Mike) Williams and Lisa Fowler both of Washington, three grandchildren, Jake, Aaron and Cala and two great grandchildren, Liam and Loralie. Also surviving are his sister, Connie (Kenneth) Mullen and brother Jim and (friend Lynn) Benjamin all of Phoenix, AZ.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for the family.
