Jacquelyn Reed

A celebration of life for Jacquelyn B. Reed, 82, of Winfield, formerly of Wayland, will be held Noon,Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Bethel Mennonite Church near Wayland. Family visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Beatty Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.  A general memorial fund has been established. Jacquelyn Reed died Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Sunrise Terrace Care Center in Winfield.

Jacquelyn Reed was born April 5, 1932 in Missoula, Montana, the daughter of James L. and Lois (Wellington) Reed.  She was active in the Methodist church and the PTA in her younger years.  Jacquelyn worked as a saleperson in fashion stores for many years.  She enjoyed her cats, taking care of her plants, reading and cake decorating.

Survivors include two daughters: Michele (Robert) Vascik of Iowa City, IA, Terri (Carroll) Hansen of Wayland, IA, four grandchildren: Daniel, Dylan, Megan and Forrest, 14 great grandchildren and one brother, Lee Reed of Washington.

Preceding Jacquelyn in death were her parents, a granddaughter, Damiene Millard and one sister, Jean McGeehon.
