James M. Arbogast

James M. Arbogast, 57, of Wayland, passed from this life on Monday, January 12, 2026, at the University of Iowa Downtown Health Care Center. His body will be cremated, and no services are scheduled at this time. The Beatty Peterseim Funeral Home is assisting the family.

James Michael Arbogast was born January 23, 1968, the son of James “Mick” and Linda (Flemming) Arbogast.

Survivors include his siblings: Rich (Stefanie) Arbogast of Wayland, Tarasa (Tim) Orr of San Antonio, Texas, and Scott Arbogast of Burlington, stepmother Candie Howell of Coppock, two stepbrothers: Josh Genkinger of Coppock, and Adam (Shannon) Genkinger of Mt. Pleasant, and 10 nieces and nephews.

Preceding James in death were his parents.
