James "Jim" W. White, 57 of rural Washington, died Friday, October 14, 2016 at the Washington County Hospital.
Funeral Services have been set for 2:00 PM Friday, October, 21, 2016 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Rick Zickefoose officiating. Burial will follow at the family farm. Visitation will begin at Noon Thursday at the funeral home with family recieving friends from 5-7:00 PM. A general memorial in the name of James W. White has been established.
Jim was born September 29, 1959 in Washington, Iowa the son of Paul F. Johnson and Kay Elizabeth Mangold.
He was employed with Asplundh Tree Service as a supervisor and also farmed all his life. He enjoyed nascar/dirt track racing, dancing, tractor pulls, Massey Harris tractors and spending time with family and grandchildren.
Survivors include children Brandon White and wife Amanda of Keota and son Brison, Brent White of West Liberty and his children, Cayden and Wyatt and Courtney White of Washington and her children Kale and Kenadee; sisters Sherry Swailes and husband Bruce of West Chester and Jo "Poe" Pratt and husband Doug of Kalona, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and great nephew Ryan.
