Joan Sueppel

A private family burial will be held for Joan L. Sueppel, 83 of Washington.  Joan L. Sueppel died Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the Washington County Hospital. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Beatty Funeral Home.

Joan L. Sueppel was born June 23, 1930 in Canton, Illinois, the daughter of Earl R. and Wanda M. (Murphy) Wood.  She graduated from Ainsworth High School.  In 1966 she was united in marriage to Leo J. Sueppel, Jr.  Joan was a member of the St. James Catholic Church in Washington.

Survivors include her husband Leo Sueppel, Jr., seven siblings; Jeanette Bergman, Jane Johnson, Jim Wood, Tim Wood, Nancy White, Mary Putman and Mike Wood, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Preceding Joan in death were her parents, one brother; Frank Wood and one sister; Jean Hall.
