Kenneth Miller

September 17, 1957 — May 19, 2020

Ken Miller passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on May 19, 2020 at the age of 62 years, after a courageous battle with cancer. A private celebration of life is being planned for a future time.

He was born on September 17, 1957, the son of Albert C. and Mary V. Miller. On September 17, 1977 he married Cheryl McDowell in Eagle Grove, IA. They made their home in Goldfield, IA. He was raised in Kalona, IA, and then spent a short time in the Marine Corps before being medically discharged with a fractured hip. He worked at Twin County Dairy as a cheesemaker and then the plant manager for many years. He also worked for Adams Vending until he purchased his own vending route. Ken’s Vending served the area for many years when he sold it, they started Cheryl’s Fresh Salsa. Ken loved life and showed it in everything he did. He loved his family, especially his kids and grandkids. He loved his houseboat and loved helping everyone he met. He always had a smile on his face and never met anyone he didn’t like.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, his 3 children, Angi (Shane) Wasson, Ryan (Heather) Miller and Craig (Amanda) Miller. Grandkids: Ashton Wasson, Taylor Wasson, Lance Wasson, Jett Wasson and Dax Miller, Ashton Tabor, Lorenzo (Kristina) Neuzil, Tyson Neuzil and Ellie (Tavereas) Moore. Siblings: Lee (Judy) Miller, Wes (Connie) Miller, Ernie (Edie) Miller, David (Joyce) Miller, Eldora (Wayne) Miller, Carol (Nathan) Gingerich and Lola (Steve) Wengerd. Many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Duane Miller and a stillborn sister. He will be greatly missed by all his family, especially his grandkids and friends!
