Kevin Lee Johnson

Kevin Lee Johnson, 67, passed away at his home on May 19, 2022.  His body has been cremated. A memorial fund has been established for Paws and More, donations may be sent to 107 S. 15th Avenue, Washington, Iowa. The Beatty Peterseim Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Kevin was born November 10, 1954, in Washington, the son of John and Phyllis (Hall) Johnson. As a life long resident of Southeast Iowa, he was an over the road truck driver for many years and worked as a groundskeeper at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Kevin enjoyed hunting, fishing, family reunions, and country music. He was a loving uncle, brother, nephew, and friend.

Left to remember him are two sisters: Julie (Ron) Lube of Omaha, NE, and Maria (Bill) Whipps of Ankeny, IA, two brothers: Steven Johnson of Iowa City, and Marty (Mary) Johnson of Washington, and an uncle Don Johnson and aunt Irene Johnson both of Winfield, IA, and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding Kevin in death were his parents and special friend Carol Waldschmidt.
