Lavon Miller

Funeral services for Lavon G. Miller, 2 month old son of Jason and Clara Miller of rural Riverside, will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 9:30 AM at the Miller home at 1040 Poplar Blvd, Riverside, IA.  Bishop Clayton Borntrager will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Brenneman Cemetery.  Visitation will begin Monday, March 16 at 2PM and all day Tuesday, March 17 at the Miller home.  Lavon Miller died peacefully on Saturday, March 14 at the Univeristy of Iowa Hospital due to complications of Chylothorax.

Lavon Glen Miller was born January 1, 2015 in Johnson County, the son of Jason and Clara (Graber) Miller.  Dear little angel baby Lavon spent 73 days of his life in the hospital.  During his brief stay on earth  Lavon had 5 surgeries and numerous other complications.

Those left to mourn his passing are his parents, Jason and Clara Miller, three brothers and one sister: Jolan Ray, age 8, Justin Dene, age 7, Crystal Joy, age 5 and Lyle Eugene, age 2.  Also surviving are his grandparents, Alvin and Mary Edna Graber, Ephraim and Verba Miller, great grandmother Rachel Graber, step great grandmother Fannie Miller, 15 aunts, seven uncles and 37 cousins.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to family and friends for their many acts of kindness, prayers, visits and food during his hospital stay and during this time of trial.
