Louise T. (Kallaus) Sattler, 90, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at her stepson's home in Tyler, Texas. She has been cremated. A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, May 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Richmond, IA, with Father Bill Roush officiating. The service will be available via Livestream at the Beatty Peterseim Facebook and YouTube pages. Burial will follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery. A Rosary will be held at 8:30 AM on Friday, May 16, followed by a visitation from 9 - 10 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, masses may be designated in her memory. The Beatty Peterseim Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Louise T. (Kallaus) Sattler was born September 23, 1934, the daughter of Roy John and Maude Edythe (Welte) Kallaus in Richmond, Iowa. She attended Holy Trinity Schools, graduated from Kalona High School and Mercy in Iowa City with her nursing degree. After graduating from nursing school, she worked alongside her future husband, Dwight G. Sattler, MD (they married in 1986) in their family practice clinic in Kalona. She later obtained her Physician Assistant (PA) license and retired from medical practice in 1991 after 36 years of dedicated service. Louise was a lifelong member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She served for many years on the Washington County Foster Care Review Board. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting and was quite accomplished, winning several blue ribbons for crocheting projects submitted to the state and county fairs. She was an avid sports fan and loved rooting for the Hawkeyes!

Survivors include her stepson, John and wife Anita Sattler of Tyler, Texas, her grandchildren Hannah, Hunter and Mary Alice Sattler of Tyler Texas, her sister Angie (Kallaus) Hofer and Husband Tom Hofer of Joetown, Iowa and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Louise in death were her parents, her husband Dwight, her stepson Robert (Bob) Sattler, her brothers: Norman, Gary, Robert and Thomas; sisters: Pauline Hershberger, Yvonne Davis, Mary Kathyrn Barry and Jane Elizabeth Kallaus.
