Marjorie Davison

October 7, 1922 — March 26, 2014

A celebration of life for Marjorie B. Davison, 91, of Coppock, Iowa will be held Sunday, March 30th at 2:00 PM at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Jason Collier officiating.  Visitation will be held Saturday, March 29th from 1 – 7 PM with the family present from 5 – 7 PM.  A memorial fund has been established for Hospice of Washington County; 948 E. 11th Street, Washington, Iowa, 52353.  Marjorie B. Davison died Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at the Parkview Home in Wayland.
Marjorie B. Davison was born October 7, 1922 in Valley, Iowa the daughter of Andy and Florence (Frank) Sheetz.  She attended Valley Elementary school and graduated from Washington High School in 1940.  On March 5, 1943 she was united in marriage to Everett W. Davison in Aberdeen, Washington.  Marjorie worked at McCleery Cummings and Advance Ross Electronics, and later as a bookkeeper for several accounting firms.  She was a member of the Wayland Methodist Church where she had served on the administrative board, as a Sunday school teacher and superintendent and was a past president of the United Methodist Women.  Marjorie also belonged to the church's quilting group and to the Marion  Hobby Club.  She was a member of the L.N.O. club and the American Legion Ladies Auxilliary.  Marjorie enjoyed making baby quilts for family members, watching Hawkeye football and basketball, solving word puzzles, and traveling to visit friends and family.  Until three weeks ago, she was an avid participant on Facebook and email and really enjoyed staying in touch with her friends and family via her computer.
Survivors include three children; Cheryl Dahlquist of Keota, Iowa, Margene (John) Erlenbush of Ainsworth, Iowa, David Davison and friend Diane Shaver of Brashear, Missouri, five grandchildren; Brian Dahlquist, Andrew (Brooke) Dahlquist, Christi (Josh) Sands, Ashley (Glenn) Johnson, Justin (Lindsey) Davison, ten great-grandchildren; Brody Dahlquist, Addison, Caye and Jadie Dahlquist, Jenna and Hayley Sands, Kinsley Johnson, and Gavin, Emma and Paisley Davison.  Also surviving are two sisters; Naomi Wade of Marion, Iowa, Pauline (Bill) Cady of Keota, Iowa, and one brother; Jim (Ginger) Sheetz of Keota, Iowa.
Preceding Marjorie in death were her parents, her husband in 2008, an infant son, five brothers; Richard, Roger, Raymond, Paul and Larry Sheetz and one sister; Imogene Sparby.
