Peggy Sue Stewart

Peggy S. (Bower) Stewart, 79, of Wellman, formerly of Kalona, passed from this life on Thursday, December 25, 2025, at Parkview in Wellman. She will be cremated per her wishes, and no services are scheduled at this time. The Beatty Peterseim Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Peggy Sue Stewart was born March 1, 1946, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond B. and Mildred M. (Haifley) Bower. She graduated from Washington High School in 1965. Peggy worked as a caregiver at Optimae in Washington for 10 years. She enjoyed getting out and never turned down a car ride with her son.

Survivors include two sons: Raymond Thomas Stewart of Wellman, and Howard Monroe Stewart of Minnesota; three grandsons: Howie, Hogan, and Hoss; and two sisters: Marjorie (Jerry) Keaough of Wellman, and Linda (Ron) Shelton of Kalona.

Preceding Peggy in death were her parents, her son Andy Stewart, and one sister, Nancy Sweet.
