Roberta Wyse

A celebration of life for Roberta E. Wyse, 80 of Wayland will be held Monday, July 29, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the Eicher Mennonite Church in rural Wayland with Pastor Robert Hartzler officiating. Burial will follow at the Center Cemetery in rural Wayland. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 28 from 4 – 6 PM at the Eicher Mennonite Church. A memorial fund has been established for the Eicher Mennnonite Church and Parkview Home in Wayland. Roberta Wyse died Friday, July 26, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City following a brief illness.

Roberta Elaine (Shaffer) Wyse was born in Wayland, Iowa the daughter of Lawrence and Edith (Roth) Shaffer. She graduated from Wayland High School and cosmetology school in Burlington. She was united in marriage to James Wyse in Wayland, Iowa. Roberta was a farm wife and operated a beauty salon out of her home for many years. She enjoyed reading and her pets.

Surviving Roberta is her daughter, Kendra Wyse of Wayland.

Preceding Roberta in death were her parents and her husband, James in 2000.
