Sallie G. (Lynn) Stockstell, 63, of Washington, passed from this life on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney, following a sudden illness. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

The Beatty Peterseim Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Sallie Gene Stockstell was born May 17, 1963, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Eugene and Roberta (Geir) Lynn. She grew up in West Chester, and graduated from Mid-Prairie High School in Wellman. Sallie was united in marriage to Jeff Stockstell, the couple later divorced. She was a mom that loved her family and considered all of her kid’s friends her family, always making them feel at home at her house. Sallie enjoyed painting ceramics, drinking her LTD and cranking up her music. She was a kind, compassionate soul that would do anything for anyone that needed help. Although fiercely stubborn, she was always there when you needed her.

Sallie is survived by her children: Cody Stockstell of Sharon Center; Chase (Nina) Stockstell of Keswick; Jacob White of Washington; six grandchildren: Coltyn, Cahleya, Coehyn, Cartyr Stockstell, and Tegon and Breanna Fogle; sister Dixie (Phillip) Emmert of Frytown; brother Bob Lynn of West Chester; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceding Sallie in death were her parents and two sisters: Donna Lippert and Sue Lynn.
