Sharon Kay McDougal

Sharon K. McDougal, 77, of Kalona, passed peacefully from this life on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at her home, following a lengthy illness. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

Sharon Kay McDougal was born June 13, 1945, in Kalona, the daughter of Leonard and Leta Mae (Parson) Rotenburger. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. 

Survivors include two siblings: James (Jackie) Rotenburger of Trenton and Donna (Joe) Fanatia of Kalona, and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Preceding Sharon in death were her parents, her daughter Jessica Ann, and two sisters: Lucille Rotenburger and Jane Gatlin, one brother Gerald Rotenburger, brother-in-law Donald Gatlin and nephew Jeremy Gatlin.
