Sherry Dietrich

October 18, 1960 — January 18, 2016



A celebration of life for Sherry A. (DeWolf) Dietrich, 55, of Washington, formerly of Colorado, will be held Friday, January 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Jason Collier officiating.  The body will be cremated following the service.  Visitation will be held Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 1:30 – 7 p.m. at the Beatty Funeral Home where the family will greet friends from 3 – 7 p.m.  Sherry Dietrich died Monday, January 18, 2016 at the Washington County Hospital.

Sherry Ann (DeWolf) Dietrich was born October 18, 1960 in Newton, Iowa, the daughter of H. Dean and Sandra K. (Griffin) DeWolf.  She graduated from Mid-Prairie High School and received a Associates of Arts degree from Indian Hills Community College.  Sherry was a registered nurse and worked in several hospitals including: University of Colorado Hospital, Rose Medical Center, National Jewish Hospital, St. Lukes Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Mercy Hospital in Iowa City and most recently the University of Iowa Hospital.  On August 22, 2014 she was united in marriage to Matthew Nickel in Netherland, Colorado.  She enjoyed rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, reading and crossword puzzles.

Survivors include her husband Matt of Conifer, Colorado, three children: Skyler Dietrich (fiance' Joseph Sanchez) of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Savannah Dietrich of Lakewood, Colorado, Dalton Dietrich of Conifer, Colorado, parents, H. Dean and Sandra DeWolf of Washington, Iowa, one brother, Bill (Sue) DeWolf of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, and one sister, Jennifer (Duane) Miller of Crawfordsville, Iowa.
