Timothy Zear

Timothy Dean Zear, 66 of Washington, died Saturday, July 11, 2020 at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.

A celebration of his life will be 10:30AM Saturday, August 29, 2020 at the Faith Baptist Church in Washington with Pastor Jon Rees officiating. A facebook live-stream will be available at https:www.facebook.com/BeattyPeterseim/. Social distancing guidelines will be enforced. Family will receive friends at a drive by visitation from 4-6:00PM Friday, August 28, 2020 at the Beatty Funeral Home carport. Memorials in his name may be designated to the American Cancer Society or the Optimist Club of Washington.

Tim was born March 26, 1954 in Washington, Iowa the son of Lyle Dean and Edith LaVon (Rich) Zear. He graduated from Washington High School.

He became a realtor in 1998 and worked in Jacksonville, FL before moving back to Washington in 2006 and joined with Elliot Realty Group in Washington. He was active with the Optimist Club of Washington and enjoyed reading, spending time with family and his dog Bailey.

Survivors include siblings, Jeff Zear (Nancy) of Iowa City, Chad Zear (Michelle) of Washington, Shelley Hayes of Washington and Jacque Trude of Montana City, MT and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
